IXL
|
This website is very beneficial for students. It has multiple standards for both Math and English Language Art that a student can choose from to work on. If a student is struggling with a specific standard, they can click on the standard and get more practice as well as an explanation on how to solve it. The goal is to get an 85 on as many standards as possible!
Class Dojo |
Class Dojo is the most common website I will be using this year. You can track how your students do each day! I would like every parent to be signed up through it so you can receive my posts, and see how your student is doing in the classroom. I will give and take away points based on homework completion, participation, effort given throughout the day, as well as other miscellaneous actions.
Scholastic Book Orders |
Every month I will be sending out scholastic order forms. If you would like to buy books to allow for students to work on their literacy skills at home, you may send in the order form with money or you can purchase them online! Every time the scholastic books come in is an exciting time for every student!
Math Practice
Prodigy |
Prodigy is a fun way for students to practice math skills! They are dueling other students while also doing math problems.
Zearn |
Zearn is a great website that is linked to our math curriculum! Students will go at their own pace as well as watch videos to help understand concepts we are learning in math. Zearn is count as part of their math and classwork grade, so if there is any extra time at home to work on it, that would benefit your student greatly!
Khan Academy |
Khan Academy is very useful website for students to watch videos on the topics we are working on. They are also given practice problems with guided help if need be and immediate feedback!
ELA Practice
Vocab/Spelling City |
All of our weekly spelling and vocabulary words will be on here for the students to practice. We work on this in class but are all expected to be done by test time.
